Individual therapy with me will help you understand how each area of your life–work, relationships, and friendships–play a role in who you are today. Together, we can examine the patterns that impact you and make a plan to move forward.
It won’t be easy, but it will be worth it. Be prepared to roll up your sleeves and dive right in. Our work will be a collaboration. I will incorporate different therapeutic approaches to address various symptoms including Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Mindfulness Techniques, and Attachment Based Therapy. I might ask you to read a book, keep a journal, and even do “homework.” Don’t worry, all you need is a little bit of courage and an open mind; we’ll do the rest together.

Let’s talk so we can get to know each other, discuss your needs/goals, and determine if I am the best person to meet your needs. If we feel that we may not be a good fit, I will try my best to refer you to another therapist.
Our first session together will be longer, about 75-90 minutes long. During this intake session, I will gather historical background information and facts about your current situation. We will discuss your goals for therapy and I will provide you with an overview of what counseling with me will be like.
Our individual counseling sessions are 50 minutes long. I recommend meeting once per week, especially at the beginning of our work together. This helps us continue to build rapport with each other and work on reaching your goals.
